Biography
Satori Tsuzuki studied physics at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He received a Ph.D. for the doctoral dissertation research titled “Large-scale particle simulations using dynamic load balance on GPU-rich supercomputers” under the supervision of Prof. Takayuki Aoki; the research was conducted from 2011 to 2015. At that time, He received a Research Fellowship for Young Scientists of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS-DC2). He won a postdoctoral research fellowship for young scientists sponsored by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS-PD). He stayed at the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology from 2016 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020, he worked as a Project Assistant Professor at the University of Tokyo, engaging in the mathematical and numerical studies on non-equilibrium statistical physics using cellular automata. From 2020 to 2021, he won a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research Abroad (JSPS-ORA). From 2021 to 2023, he worked as a Project Lecturer at the University of Tokyo. Since 2023, he has been designated as a Lecturer at the University of Tokyo. Recently, one of his papers was selected as a "Featured Article (Journal's Best)" in Physics of Fluids, one of the best international journals in fluid dynamics. He also won one international award at the international conference VF2016 and received nine awards from the authoritative academic associations in computational mechanics in Japan.
